Tim Tim Carvalho Carvalho Biography

I was born in Sacramento, CA on March 16, 1948

My parents are Evo (deceased) & Julia Carvalho and I have 5 Sisters and a twin Brother

I went to St. Philomene’s Grammar School, (1953-1961)

St. Pius X Seminary for High School (4.5 years),(1962-1966)

and University of San Francisco for College ( 4 years and graduated with a  BA in History) (1966-1970)

What year were you and Stephanie married and are the proud parents of (sons names and ages as well as Knights status) We were married on August 8, 1970 and have three sons:
Louis 43 Current Knight, lives in Anaheim, CA
Robert 41 Grand Knight of Fr. Joseph Geary Council lives in San Jose
Philip 38 not a Knight lives in Portland, OR

I went into the US Army as a 2Lt. after College through ROTC. (Year commissioned and where?) Commissioned December 1969 at the Univ of San Francisco.

I was commissioned a Mechanical Maintenance Officer and went to Germany (what year?) for three years where I also got a classification as a Missile Maintenance Officer and was promoted to 1st Lt. (Date Promoted?) Proomoted to 1st Lt 1971

I came to Maryland and spent three and a half years there and was promoted to Captain. (What year?) Promoted in 1972  I then resigned from active duty. (what year) 1977

I maintained my Reserve Commission for another three years and then resigned that commission as well.

Knights of Columbus activity see attached Excel sheet

Same for State Committees See Excel sheet.

Need some input on accomplishments as State Deputy:  The State ended ahead in Intake compared to the last 5 years and the same is true on Net Intake; however, we missed Net-Net by 15.  I had 11 NCDs but only 2 Reactivations.  We had gotten a New or Re-activated Council in every Cathedral in every Diocese in California now as well.  We have gotten many more UltraSound Machines in place and now have 1 in every Chapter.  We worked with Special Olympics to pay for 100 Special Olympians to go to New Jersey under the “Jersey Bound” program for the National Special Olympic Games there.  This money went through the ID Foundation.  All in all it was a re-growth year for Faith and Family and getting more people to bring and get their entire families involved in all we do.  I have seen this come to fruition with increased participation at Chapter events and the DD Meetings.
